The course will be delivered by Paul McCrory, who runs think differently. Paul is an experienced STEM engagement consultant who has developed and delivered STEM presentations to tens of thousands of people of all ages. He is passionate about these subjects and in communicating his interest to others. think differently have reached over 150,000 young people and teachers in hundreds of schools across Northern Ireland. They have also presented shows at science festivals and events in the rest of the UK and across the Republic of Ireland.

Paul has a degree in physics and maths; a MSc in Communicating Science, and a PGCE in Secondary science. His Phd research is currently exploring how science teachers can emotionally engage their students in the classroom using techniques borrowed from professional performers.

As well as presenting shows, think differently offers a range of training and consultancy services in STEM engagement. For example, Paul is one of the national public engagement mentors for the EPSRC, which involves supporting researchers who are delivering major engagement projects. He has run training courses in communication skills and public engagement for science centres, museums, universities, outreach organisations and industries in the UK.
